UPFEST PRESENTS A Celebration of Hip Hop - Bling Name Necklace
Join Let’s Make Art to celebrate fifty years of hip hop! They’re inviting families to get creative together, making to the music first popularised by DJ Kool Herc in the early 1970s at his famous block parties.
Kurtis Blow, had the first certified gold hip-hop record ever and wore gold chains on his debut album cover and over the decades, future MC’s would follow in his footsteps,
acquiring jewellery to mark the milestones reached throughout their careers.
Children and their families are invited to design and decorate a hip hop style blinging necklace! Create your initials from graffiti templates and decorate the colourful letters with Posca pens. Add some 'ice' to your design with holographic stickers and attach a gold chain to wear your jewellery around your neck and then display them at home.
Note - small children will need help cutting out letters
