Audrey Kawasaki is a Japanese-American artist known for her oil and acrylic paintings of women on wood panels. Her work contains contrasting themes of innocence and eroticism, conveying the mysterious intrigue of female sensuality. She paints sultry, seductive and uninhibited subjects with delicate beauty and a provocative gaze directed at the viewer. Her sharp imagery is painted with precision onto wooden panels, whose natural grain lends the works a mysterious atmosphere and depth. Her creative influences include both Eastern and Western traditions, ranging from Art Nouveau to Japanese manga. She started professionally showing at various art galleries in the US and internationally since 2005, and featured in numerous publications, in turn, inspiring and empowering a new generation of artists. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, and currently lives in Norwich, UK, with her partner and daughter. Audrey enjoys noodles, seafood, the paranormal, dancing, and white wine spritzers.
