UPFEST PRESENTS is proud to welcome City and Country as partners for this year’s cultural event. As huge champions of the city’s imagination and individuality, Bedminster is a stand out hub of creativity in Bristol, and City and Country has provided wall space for street artist, Elaine Carr, to unleash her talents and imagination.
A highlight of this partnership has been the brand new artwork, created by Elaine Carr, which has landed on the hoardings at Factory No.1 on East Street. A historical site in Bristol, the Factory No.1 building is currently being transformed into apartments, while preserving its rich heritage.
Elaine Carr’s mural at Factory No.1 is testament to the connection between historical architecture and contemporary street art. The geometric and bold mural is a striking addition to the culturally rich area of Bedminster, bringing a dynamic element to the site, which captures the lively and creative spirit of the Upfest community, the ongoing redevelopment by City and Country, as well as Bristol itself.
Head down to Factory No.1 to check out Elaine Carr’s incredible mural and the merging of historical architecture and contemporary art. This collaboration not only enhances the space but also celebrates Bristol’s artistic heritage, making it a must-see during UPFEST PRESENTS 2024.
