UPFEST and Ashridge House present ART HOUSE
Something a bit different…we’re stepping out of Bristol and putting the heart into Hertfordshire for our latest collaboration with former royal residence and Grade I listed building, Ashridge House. Join us as we transform its majestic grounds into a vibrant urban canvas for ART HOUSE.
Join us on Sunday 4th August for live painting and to wander the Grade II* listed gardens to witness the creativity of 20 street artists from across the globe. The brand new artworks will then be on display until Sunday 15th September.
Drawing inspiration from Ashridge House’s rich history and stunning location, you will witness world-class talent unfold on launch day, Sunday 4th August. Kickstarting the roster of incredible talent are Liam Bononi and WRDSMTH, who have been working on their one-off pieces behind the scenes, as well as Curtis Hylton who will also join the line-up.
Known for his striking and hyper-realistic portraits blended with abstract forms of organic textures, contemporary artist Liam Bononi’s style is hauntingly beautiful and results in a captivating experience for anyone who sees it.
Using vintage typewriter images that are overlaid with inspirations and poetic phrases, WRDSMTH’s blending of literature and art ties in perfectly with Ashridge Houses.
Rounding off the first wave of artists is nature-inspired muralist, Curtis Hylton. Seamlessly blending flora and fauna with urban landscapes, his intricate and detailed depictions of wildlife are loved nationally and internationally.
Art House will take place from Sunday 4th August - Sunday 15th September, with tickets now available at: www.ashridgehouse.org.uk.
More artists will be announced very soon. We’d love to see you there so make sure to grab your tickets before they’re gone.
