Its official, we’re back for our 8th edition and launching our second crowd funding campaign through fundsurfer.com to raise £15,000 to help pay for the infrastructure to manage the 30,000 expected guests and make Upfest an even better experience for everyone. Our costs come in the form of scaffolding, cherry pickers and power access equipment, boards for the artists to paint, fencing, safety barriers to help crowd flow, staging, security, and of course, thousands of cans of spray paint!
Apart from playing a BIG part in the continued success of the largest live and free street art & graffiti festival in Europe, fans that support the crowd funding campaign will have the opportunity to get their hands on the exclusive festival print from Gemma Compton, hand crafted Upfest Oscar cans courtesy of Czee13 and other stunning works donated by Guy Denning, Inkie, Louis Masai, Oli-T, Rob Wass, SHOK-1 and Spzero76 to name but a few.
Artists from around the globe support us by making their own way here and paint for free in front of thousands of visitors and the money raised via Fundsurfer will also enable us to give away additional materials such as spray cans, boards and paints to the festival’s 300 attending artists.
We are incredibly lucky to have a great team and an army of volunteers that give thousands of hours and take no fees for preparing, organising and marshalling the event each year and a massive big UP to all the artists who've donated artwork and designs to this campaign, so all you lovely people can be rewarded for your generosity in making Upfest 2016 incredible!
Contributions from as little as £5 from everyone that supports the festival and love what we do in our little corner of the world will help make 2016 the best and most colourful festival to date. Upfest 2016, be part of it!
