UPFEST 2020 - Postponed

Upfest, Europe’s largest urban arts festival which was due to take place from 30th May-1st June will be postponed.

We all find ourselves in a situation where no-one has the answer for how long before we are able to resume hosting events and getting together to collaborate, celebrate and paint! In light of the current situation and Bristol City Council’s announcement last week, we will now be working with them to secure a date for rescheduling this year’s Upfest.

As a volunteer led event with hundreds of artists heading to Bristol at their own cost to attend, we are massively grateful for everyone’s understanding while we navigate the coming weeks. We know how critical our paint jam is to get our community of artists and supporters together, as well as supporting the local economy of Bedminster and wider Bristol. We are taking best advice from the authorities to enable us to reschedule the date as soon as we can.

Our crowdfunding campaign through Fundsurfer.com, due to end of the 5th of April, will be changed to an open-ended crowdfunding campaign in order to keep on raising funds for Upfest and a rescheduled festival. We will be in contact with everyone that has generously pledged to support Upfest so far with the a few options including suspending their pledge, cancelling their pledge or confirming their pledge in order to receive their reward.

The Upfest crew sends huge thanks to everyone including our main sponsor Posca whose unwavering support has been amazing. They have donated a number of paint pens and we have put together some other ways you can support our artists from home on our website.
