UPFEST II - Photography at Upfest - Open Submission

UPFEST II

A photographic diary 2008 - 2016

Open submission competition

A new Upfest book is on it’s way and this is your chance to get your photos published! We are coming to you, the public, artists, professionals and amateurs, in a callout for submissions for all the great pictures you have taken at Upfest over the years.

We are looking as far back as our first festival in 2008 up to present day, being a photographic diary the early years are equally as important as recent festivals.

All submitted photos will be put into a competition with the winner being given the book front cover and an Upfest gallery voucher of £350. There will also be a book and photo credit for anyone who’s photos are used within it. All artists whos work is featured in the selected photographs will be credited for their awesome work too.

We are asking for 10 of your best photo’s that have been taken between 2008 & 2012 and 10 of your best from 2013 until 2016. We need variety; as well as the artwork from the festival think about things like artists at work, festival vibes, progress shots, crowds, venues, different surfaces, small spaces as well as the huge walls, etc...we want you to be creative.

Entries should be submitted by via email to upfestartists@gmail.com. All files must be labelled with the entrant’s name & the year the photo was taken. The image files must be 72 dpi (low res) for review purposes. You must be able to supply us with high-res images if your photos are selected (300 dpi version at approximately A3 or 30 cm x 30 cm for print). We are asking for high quality photos so please no mobile phone shots.

The competition closes September 9th at midnight so you don’t have long!
We’re really looking forward to seeing all of your pictures, good luck everyone!
