Upfest has announced it will be creating a graffiti experience at Volksfest 2014, bringing some of the UK’s most exciting urban artists to the festival which will be held from 6th to 8th June at Washingpool Farm, Easter Compton, Bristol.
After announcing a year off for the festival, the Upfest team will be decamping to the countryside to take over the newly renovated one thousand square metre old cowshed on site at Volksfest. 40 artists will descend on the space to paint throughout the weekend, to give urban art fans their creative fix for the year.
Confirmed artists include; Cageone, Dan Kitchener, Dones, FLX, Faunagraphic, Ian Phenna, Jody, Lokey, N4T4, NOL, Phil Blake, Rob Wass, Rocket01, Shade1, Snub23, Soker, SPQR, Spzero76, T.wat plus more to be announced!
The covered Upfest Arena will have tunes throughout the weekend, and visitors will also get the opportunity to book attending artists to have their car or van painted. More information will be available on www.upfest.co.uk later in the year.
Bristol Volksfest has been run by a dedicated team for the last 20 years, originally set up to showcase some of the finest examples of original and customised VW’s, the festival has progressed into a weekend full of music, cars, live art and BMX displays. For the first time Volksfest will host UK Lowrider Nationals 2014, with this being the first Lowrider event of its kind.
