Upfest has announced it will be creating a graffiti experience at Volksfest 2014, bringing some of the UK’s most exciting urban artists to the festival which will be held from 6th to 8th June at Washingpool Farm, Easter Compton, Bristol.
Following the lead of Michael Eavis (Founder of Glastonbury Festival) whom in 1987 instigated a fallow year every fifth year of his festival, the Upfest festival will not be taking place in 2014.
Painting on recycled materials is a signature of My Dog Sighs’ work, most recognisable is the staple food, drink and spray cans, which are twisted, crushed and hand painted. Each has its own character, be it melancholic clown or aggressive punk.
This year, Upfest is proudly sponsoring the 10th Bristol Art for Africa auction, in aid of Temwa. Taking place at the Attic Bar on May 11th, the auction will feature work by renowned artists such as DinDin, FLX and SPQR.
